South Beach Shadows

South Beach is reached by following one of the most scenic hikes in the Pacific Rim National Park.  This trail starts at the Wickaninnish Interpretive Center. A short distance into this trail leads to a boardwalk that takes you down to South Beach where you are greeted by incredible views of the ocean and giant rock formations.  I have painted several paintings of this area and will no doubt paint many more.  This painting was inspired by the long shadows cast over the beach.
